On its unveiling a courtier called this official Portrait of Nyx+Nyssa “a wonderful portrait of a platonic friendship”. Upon hearing this the Emperor laughed for three hours straight.

I quite enjoyed the opportunity to draw those two together like that – It’ll be some time until these two become an item in the comic itself. Nyx+Nyssa is at its core their love-story, you know? Never mind all those fae, eldritch horrors and evil cultists, and an adequate amount of stabbings.
And I love how this one turned out – especially their hands. I have a version of this without the frame – I think I’ll set that one as a header for twitch, twitter and etc.
